Internship Positions

Although there may be times when some or all of the interns will be working together on a project, each intern is given their own specific area of responsibility. CPAF accepts young performing artists who also have experience and interest in the following areas:

Community Relations

An important aspect of the CPAF ministry is relating to the Winona Lake Community. The tasks of this intern include administering the Second Sunday Concert Series and volunteer program. Community Relations interns need to be able to work well with people of all ages, detail oriented, able to plan and execute events, and be creative in finding ways to involve and show appreciation to the people who support this ministry.

Web Design/Information Technology

One of the most effective ways CPAF communicates with the world is through the Internet. This intern is responsible for updating the CPAF and MasterWorks websites and developing new ways for the websites to better serve the arts world. This intern should have knowledge of computers as well as awareness of and/or a strong desire to learn about web design.

Development/Fundraising

Under the direction of the Development Administrator, the Development/Fundraising intern’s tasks include, but are not limited to researching foundations, writing grants, contacting and receipting donors, writing thank-you notes, planning fund raising events, finding data and creating financial publications, and locating corporate sponsors.

National and International Publicity

The national and international publicity intern works closely with the MasterWorks Administrator to recruit new MasterWorks students and publicize the Festival and CPAF. This intern needs to be a creative thinker and able to effectively communicate the vision and objectives of CPAF and MasterWorks by phone, written word and in person. Other tasks include writing to magazines, attending conferences and finding ways to advertise through printed publications and the Internet.

Coordinator of Alumni Relations

Because MasterWorks is an international performing arts festival, we currently have over 1,000 faculty and alumni from all over the world. The goal of the Alumni Relations intern is to keep the MasterWorks community updated and connected. Tasks include but are not limited to updating the current contact information of alumni and faculty, database management, overseeing various alumni and faculty mailings and the Yahoo! group, and creating new ways to accomplish these goals. Prospective interns need to be organized, detail oriented, creative and great communicators in general.

Graphic Design and Layout

This intern is in charge of the graphic design, layout and proofing of all printed material. Tasks include creating the MasterWorks Festival application brochure, newsletters, posters, advertisements, concert programs and an annual report. A qualified intern should be highly creative and artistic, computer literate and able to meet deadlines. Please submit a portfolio of your work with your application.

Journalism/Publications

CPAF produces various publications: quarterly newsletters, numerous brochures, a few journals and two bi-annual magazines. The main responsibilities of this intern is to brainstorm the content with the publication supervisor, write the material and supply the Graphic Design and Layout intern with the written content. This intern is also responsible for editing and proofing the written material. Qualifications include: strong, clear writing style, creative, ability to meet deadlines and the ability to conduct interviews by phone, email and in person. Bible Studies Administrator Assistant

A major goal of CPAF is to start and equip Bible studies and prayer meetings in performing arts schools and professional ensembles around the world. This intern assists the Bible Study Administrator in communicating with students and faculty members who are starting and leading a CPAF Bible Study. This job includes preparing monthly newsletters, writing Bible studies, corresponding with and encouraging Bible study leaders and making presentations at colleges and universities.
